Call me an antiquarian, but I really enjoy the smell of an old used book from one of the many local used book stores in the Asheville area. There is something invigorating about the musty smell of the yellowed pages containing endless information and entertainment. It reminds me of the fresh wet smell of fallen leaves or of an overturned log. It is a very earthy and organic smell. That is why I started to feel as if I had betrayed myself when I began to contemplate purchasing a Nook.
The Nook is Barnes and Nobles answer to the Amazon Kindle. I was interested in the Nook because it was the first e-reader that I had worked with. I also took the time to compare prices and features and found the Nook to be the most agreeable to my taste and budget. Read more »
